BABY/NURSERY TO-DO LIST

We should have started putting the nursery together MONTHS AGO.  My poor hubby has to do most of the heavy lifting.  And I am easily fatigued now a days.  But the progress is kinda coming along..

Not including the major items like crib and such, here is our list (mostly all DIY)

  • Move closet out of room
  • Artwork for baby
  • Refinish Baby Dresser
  • Mobile
  • Spray paint thrifted frames
  • Install shelving
  • Purchase hamper
  • Purchase/Refinish Lamp
  • DIY shoes
  • DIY plain onesies

I’m sure there’s a bunch more.. can’t think of it off the top of my head..

But THINGS that NEED TO BE DONE BEFORE BABY COMES list is another story:

  • Condense Book Collection (husband just found 4 more boxes of books)
  • Clean bro’s old room and organize
  • Garage Sale 2/4
  • Clean out Garage
  • Wash and Clean both Cars
  • Pack Hospital Bag
  • Renovate Bathroom (I don’t think there will be time for this, honestly)
  • Make room for Baby Bottles, etc

OMG. just making this list is freaking me out! Less than 2 more months to go and Baby Boy will be here :)

My BabyBoy’s first pair of Supras!

Look out for more photo posts..
I have all these pictures on my camera and haven’t gotten around to editing them.
The birth of instagram has kinda fucked up my curiosity for photography.
But anyhoo, going to go with the au natural lighting with just a touch of editing this year.  The hubby is teaching me the technical skills and hopefully we will be able to get this hubby&wifey photography team up (me in background with marketing and such and maybe some shooting if needed).

BIG THINGS THIS YEAR!

Ever so dearest 2011,

2011,

Thanks for all the memories you’ve blessed me and my family this year.  My beautiful, smart nephew is the best thing you could have given us.  He’s given all of us so much joy.

My first year of marriage to the greatest man ever was amazing.  He and I have never been so much in love.  Every single day, good or bad is cherished.  Thank you most of all for the baby we have created.  He will definitely be a product of our ever growing love.

Although you have taken away loved ones, bittersweet as it is, you have also kept us close and that will be the memory of their legacy.  The biggest lost was one that was done for the best.  I feel that years of repeated hurt, tears, and fears will be redeemed for future years of mindful peace.

Thank you 2011.  No regrets.

A.W.

BREAKING: Kim Jong-Il is dead.
The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) remains the world’s longest-lived dictatorship, home to a near-perfect cult of personality that rulers like Stalin and Mao only dreamed of. Today, more than six decades after its post-World War II creation, North Korea endures as a true digital-age rarity: a land largely unrecorded, even while its influence — on the global stage and the world’s imagination — intensifies.LIFE asked five award-winning photographers to share their stories and photos — some of which have never before been published in the U.S. — from their travels in the North. The hazards of journeying to the DPKR as a Western journalist, covertly or in plain sight, are as numerous as they are dire. Shooting there requires skill, strategy, and guts; the five photojournalists here risked all to reveal the enigmatic universe behind the North Korean curtain.
